  i know it's not easy for you to walk it's a big decision, family and etc.. if you are afraid consider this.

  i have been here for a few years and i can count on one hand from posters who made the statement, i can't take it anymore, i'm going back.. what is it that members here have given up their family and friends to be free.

  is it so we can have sinful fun, we are our own person and no one will tell us what to do?.

  Why have ones here turn their back on a religion they were born in, walk and is not thinking about returning. Is Satan that powerful that he makes you think, Jehovah organization is a Big lie. It makes you sick inside just the thought of returning, what the hell is it.

  It would have been a easy transition for me if places like this was around when I left.

  One certainly doesn't have to be an Atheist in order to become a scientist.

  Many simply acknowledge that the two institutions deal with different realms

  of human experience. Science investigates the natural world, while religion

  deals with the spiritual and supernatural. For me I like the idea investigating the

  natural world, I have grown from believing in the supernatural.

  When we decide how this will be handle I need help in my area. I think I must be the

  only Apostate in my area I'm sure there is others, undercover, LOL.

  Would it be a good idea to mention here the KH in my area and you folks can send letters also.

  I'm thinking if they received one letter from me that's not so impressive. The southern Calif

  i am still serving as an elder but just hanging in there.

  i think their quandry is that they don't see me out in the field, but when they need encouragement and decent prayer they come to me.. i just got off the phone to this poor sister who i have only met twice.

  she is not even in my congregation (her sister is).

  JW's reminds of the guy you invite into your circle of friends and he cause

  nothing but havoc. I bet you the Pope didn't invite or considered inviting one of

  the GB member on the stage in Washington. I'm sure they wonder, when people

  leave that faith they leave God all together, what the hell are they teaching.

  of the U.S population had no religious preference. By 2010, this percentage had more

  than doubled to 18 percentage. That's a difference of about 25 million people all of

  whom have somehow lost their religion.

  Allen Downey, a computer scientist at Olin college of Engineering in Massachusetts

  says that the demise is the result of several factors, the most controversial of these is

  the rise of the internet. We have the number of people with a religious upbringing has

  dropped since 1990, and college-level education also correlates with the drop.

  We are working so hard to bring down the WT, I don't think we have to worry about it.

  Most religious are making changes to keep up with the times, JW's on the other hand are

  going in the other direction. In 5 or 10 years they will be so out of step with rest of the world,

  they will be viewed the same as Amish.
